Club ReceptionOur reception team are positioned in the heart of our stunning ground floor lobby and are the focal point for guests arriving to the club. Seven years after launching The Ned London in 2017, we are proud to be opening a Ned's Club in the US capital, our fourth and newest location.Ned's Club Washington DC is a members' club set over three floors of a neoclassical style building situated within President's Park at 734 15th Street NW. The Riggs Building sits opposite the US Treasury and was constructed in 1930. The 12-storey building is located around the corner from the White House and sits above the Milken Center for Advancing the American Dream, formerly the historic Riggs Bank Corcoran branch.The Club has a Rooftop Terrace and Loft Restaurant with views overlooking the White House, US Treasury and Washington Monument, plus a Founder's Dining Room, The Library, Drawing Room, Gallery and Conservatory. On level nine, there is a self-contained floor of private event spaces.Reporting into the Club Reception Manager, and as part of the daily reception operation, you will:Lead the day-to-day arrival and departure experience, offering a warm Ned's welcome on arrival and a thoughtful farewell on departure, while ensuring every check-in is seamless, efficient, and effortlessly polished for our members and guestsChampion outstanding hospitality by resolving concerns with grace, answering questions confidently, and delivering consistently memorable experiencesCollaborate closely with Membership, including the Founders Concierge, as well as Security, and Food & Beverage teams to ensure a seamless, personalized journey throughout the ClubCommunicate VIP arrivals and pertinent member and guest information to relevant teams, anticipating needs before they ariseBuild meaningful rapport with members and guests by learning their preferences and personalizing their experience over timeEnforce Club policies with confidence, discretion, and professionalismAssist with coat check and the secure storage of members' and guests' belongingsAnswer incoming calls promptly, providing accurate and helpful informationRespond to member queries via case log with exceptional attention to detail and timelinessSupport additional duties as assigned by the Club Reception Manager or Head of MembershipActivate and issue membership cards and preparing induction bags for new membersManage the restaurant reservations when requiredMonitor the Founder's mobile phone in the absence of the Founder's Concierge teamCreate and handle Founder and VIP guest passes with discretionMaintain accurate Lost & Found and Bag Check trackersConduct regular walkthroughs of the Club spaces, including both lobbies, ensuring Ned's standards are impeccably upheld - furniture thoughtfully arranged, The Architect neatly presented and well stocked, and all areas maintained in a polished, welcoming conditionMonitor the reception environment closely and promptly report any maintenance or housekeeping needs in Knowcross to ensure swift resolution.Manage Attendium check-ins during private eventsAttend daily line-ups when requested and reporting key information back to the teamAssist with additional shift coverage when needed due to call-outs or peak periodsWhat you can bring to the role:A genuine passion for hospitality and guest serviceA warm and upbeat personalityPrevious hotel or reception experience with a proven track record of delivering outstanding guest experiences and strong people engagementA commitment to excellence, our members and guests expect the best, so high standards are essentialAn organized and detail-oriented approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentA calm and steady presence under pressure, our reception area can be demanding, and you'll be the anchor the team relies onMust be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with handsAble to stand during your extended periods of timeFast-paced movements are occasionally required to go from one part of the club to othersMust be able to understand and communicate clearly with guests, members, and coworkersMust be able to reach and handle the computer, keyboard, and desktop itemsOccasionally kneel, bend, crouch and climb as requiredWhat The Ned can give you:Salary of $26.00/hourMedical, Dental, Vision, Company Paid Life, STD, LTD InsuranceComplimentary meals in our friendly team restaurant when the Club opensExciting learning and development programs to help progress your careerExclusive rates with our hotels for stays and dining, exclusive rates for your family and friends for hotel staysPaid time off401k matchingEmployee assistance program - advice and supportReward and recognition initiativesAt The Ned, we don't just celebrate our diversity, we challenge ourselves to do even better.
