"You have not lived until you have done something for someone who can never repay you."Ascend Hospice is offering volunteer opportunities for compassionate, empathetic individualswho want to enhance lives by giving their time to others in the community. Volunteerscan make friendly visits to a patient, create crafts for patients and families, and assist our officestaff. Ascend Hospice also utilizes the gifts and talents of alternative practitioners, such asmassage therapists, reiki therapists, pet therapists and music therapists. Volunteers receivetraining; hours range from one to two hours per week and a commitment of one year is preferred.Our home office is located in Glen Allen, and we currently serve communities within a 50 mile radius of the City of Richmond.
