Java Developer

About the Role: Talemexa is seeking an experienced Java Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-grade software services for its financial services and HR clients. In this role, you will build scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot, develop REST APIs, and contribute to microservices-based architectures. The ideal candidate has at least four years of Java development experience, strong SQL knowledge, and practical experience building and deploying backend applications. You should understand software design patterns, automated testing, performance optimization, and modern deployment practices using CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with Docker or Kubernetes is also important.

Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain enterprise Java applications and backend services. Build scalable microservices using Java and the Spring Boot framework. Develop, integrate, and maintain RESTful APIs to support application functionality and system integrations. Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-documented code in accordance with software engineering standards. Develop and maintain unit tests and integration tests to ensure application reliability. Troubleshoot software defects, investigate production issues, and implement effective solutions. Optimize application performance, memory utilization, and resource consumption. Work with relational databases, write efficient SQL queries, and improve database performance. Support application deployment through CI/CD pipelines and established release processes. Work with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality. Support junior developers through technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and code review discussions. Collaborate with product managers, QA engineers, business analysts, and other developers to deliver project requirements. Follow secure coding practices and contribute to the reliability, scalability, and maintainability of enterprise applications. Qualifications and Experience 4+ years of professional experience in Java software development. Strong knowledge of Java programming and object-oriented programming principles. Hands-on experience developing applications with Spring Boot. Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices. Strong SQL skills and familiarity with relational database systems. Understanding of common software design patterns and application architecture. Experience writing unit tests and integration tests. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control, and deployment workflows. Exposure to Docker or Kubernetes for containerization and application deployment. Knowledge of application performance tuning, memory management, and debugging. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
