Cloud Engineering – DevOps - ApplicationWe are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in automating infrastructure deployment and management using code, ensuring efficient, scalable, and reliable systems. This role requires a strong understanding of cloud platforms, configuration management, and DevOps practices. This position is located in our Fairfax, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.Your future duties and responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions using template like Terraform. Ansible, or CloudFormationAutomate the provisioning and management of cloud infrastructure within the Google Cloud Platform. (AWS, Azure)Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate IaC solutions into CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab UltimateImplement and manage configuration management solutions to ensure consistency and compliance across environmentsMonitor and optimize infrastructure performance, scalability, and securityTroubleshoot and resolve infrastructure related issues in a timely mannerDocument infrastructure designs, processes, and procedures for knowledge sharing and complianceStay up to date with industry trends and best practices in cloud infrastructure and DevOpsParticipate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team membersAssist in the development of disaster recovery and business continuity plansRequired qualifications to be successful in this role:Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related fieldMinimum 3 years of experience in infrastructure automation and cloud technologiesProficiency in IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormationStrong understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure) and their servicesExperience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (GitLab Ultimate)Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShellExcellent problem solving skills and attention to detailStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamRelevant certifications (e.g. GCP, Certified Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer), are a plusDesired qualifications/non essential skills required:GitLab UltimateGoogle Cloud Platform(GCP) experience is a plus but experience with AWS and Azure are consideredFamiliarity with Google Cloud Services or other similar Cloud Platform ServicesExperience Packaging and Publishing software for client consumptionExperience with Microservice Architecture and building containersExperience with modern container based applicationsA reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $89,600.00 $198,400.00.
