Support Labor Relations for the Ashtabula Plant 2 facility. This is a salaried exempt day shift position.Key job responsibilities include:Supports the Labor Relations function at the Ashtabula Plant 2 facilityRelies on contract interpretation, previous experience, and impact on plant to suggest recommendations to grievancesComplies with and protects employees and the Company relative to all existing governmental and labor laws and government reporting requirements including EEO, ADA, FMLA, ERISA, HIPAA, NLRA and others; counsels managers and superintendents on these laws and regulations and HR issuesInvestigates policy or procedure violations and makes recommendations on appropriate course of action.Determines and recommends employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivationAssists with employee communications and feedback through meetings, suggestion programs, focus groups, one-on-one meetings, etc.Leads the job bidding and recruitment process to identify motivated employees to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the Company and the Ashtabula ComplexCommunicates and interprets HR policies and procedures for managers and employeesImproves manager and employee relations by interpreting bargaining unit contract and Company policies and procedures, identifying and clarifying issues, evaluating and implementing solutions, and coaching and counselingLeads confidential and effective investigations relative to employee performance issuesManage HR related forms - new hire, address changes, pay changes, transfer forms, beneficiaries, miscellaneous benefits, etc.Maintains confidential and non-routine informationInterfaces effectively with all levels of personnelAdhere to Pigments' 20 principles of process and Behavioral Safety and Life Saving RulesINEOSOther duties as assignedAbout YouYou should possess:A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is requiredBachelor's degree in human resources or related field preferredA minimum of five (5) years of prior human resources experience in a manufacturing environment with emphasis on recruitment and employee relationsLabor relations experience a plusComputer literacy and SAP experience with proficiency in Microsoft Office Software required; HRIS systems preferredExcellent written and verbal communication skills.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities or projects simultaneously and keep them progressing to completion.Self-motivation and independent thinking.Schedule/HoursThis is a salaried exempt day shift position.Our Ashtabula, Ohio Complex, consisting of two plants just south of Lake Erie, is a state of the art manufacturing complex with leading technology and more than 45 years of manufacturing excellence.INEOS Pigments offers a competitive salary with an annual bonus and a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, medical, dental, vision, short-term disability, long-term disability with the buy-up option, basic life & AD&D insurance with a buy-up option for self and dependents, 401(k) with company match.EOE M/F/Vet/DisabledKnow Your Rights: Workplace discrimination is illegal (eeoc.gov)
