SummaryThe Operations Maintenance Coordinator (OMC) ensures the accurate and timely maintenance of operational assets by the approval and screening of work requests and development of maintenance work schedules to meet asset reliability requirements.Duties And ResponsibilitiesMay include, but are not limited to, the following:Reviews and manages Notification processReview/approve all Notifications.Verify accuracy and quality of job scope within notifications.Make sure priority is accurate.Make sure coding is correct.Eliminate duplicate Notifications.Assess notification and assess whether PM maintenance plan is needed, pass to reliability engineer and planner.Provide feedback to originator when Notification is not up to standard.Ensure Notification creates value in the current business environment. Managing Priority NotificationsReview/approve all Emergency and Urgent Notifications occurring during normal working hours.Review Emergency and Urgent Notifications approved during off working hours.Approve and communicate break-ins to planner and maintenance supervisor. Negotiate necessary schedule changes. Planning ProcessPrioritize Notifications for planning priority list to ensure highest priority / value jobs are planned in a timely manner.Review Notification and non-scheduled work order backlogs to determine if jobs still add value. Cancel as necessary.Provide input to planning for jobs requiring MOC, cost approvals or changes in start dates.Participate in field scope clarifications as needed.SchedulingOwn the weekly schedule, every effort to stay with planned scheduleManage PM and Inspection backlog to ensure PM’s and Inspections are executed as scheduled or appropriate documentation is completed to support any exceptions.Manage RSHD (Ready to Schedule) backlog to ensure jobs with the highest priority / value are scheduled first.Review RSHD work order backlog to determine if jobs still have value. Cancel as necessary.Approve expediting and overtime requirements to ensure jobs will be completed in time to meet the needs of the plant.Act as liaison between operations and maintenance groups to address any problems with adhering to the schedule.Create weekly schedule and communicate schedule to operations and maintenance, working with information from Operations Supervisors and meeting with Planner and Maintenance SupervisorDaily communication with maintenance supervisor to update work done today and work for next day. Budget ManagementCo-own with Superintendent monthly budgetEstimating monthly budgetManage jobs to meet monthly budgetWeekly review of monthly budget Month to date spendingPlanned spending for upcoming weekCo-own annual budget planning with SuperintendentFinancial permit approval on Work Orders over $10KAdditional DutiesBackup to unit operations supervisor; after shift supervisor, performance engineer, and unit superintendent (Issue permits, Walk out LOTO, Green tag and line break for pump shop)Backup for planner part of schedulingEducation, Experience And Qualifications10 Years Operational Experience and/or Maintenance Experience preferredTechnical Experience developed from work experienceExperience with SAP or similar program preferredEffective communication skillsAbility to work with minimal supervisionUnderstanding of complex processing requirements of chemical plantsGood understanding of mechanical processes and technologyGood Excel Spreadsheet SkillsPHYSICAL DEMANDSWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.WORK ENVIRONMENTThe noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as normally based in an office. Some of the work may be required in the operating units which can require usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, etc. May also result in exposure to outside elements and may require usage of stairs and elevators.
