Part-Time Dog Enrichment Specialist

Job Overview Join our team at Canine Cohesion as a Part-Time Dog Trainer and Enrichment Specialist, caring and working with dogs enrolled in our Day Training Program at our Fairview Facility. In this role, you will implement effective training programs and foster positive outcomes for client dogs. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to grow professionally while making a positive impact every day. *Candidate must have background working with dogs in a professional settings and prescribe to positive, relationship based training methods. Responsibilities Oversee our day training dogs within our facility Implement training, enrichment, decompression and social opportunities for dogs in the program Design and deliver customized dog training programs tailored to individual dogs’ needs and owner goals Utilize positive and relationship based techniques Handle multiple dogs safely, ensuring proper animal care and handling techniques are followed Maintain detailed records of training progress, behavioral notes, and client communications Support kennel management by assisting with pet care routines, feeding, grooming, and general animal handling as needed Skills Proven experience in dog training with a strong understanding of canine behavior principles and positive reinforcement based training Skilled in animal handling, restraint techniques, and pet care procedures Ability to lift heavy objects safely when handling large or energetic dogs Excellent communication skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members Team members should be willing to work 20-25 hours per week, and this job will involve some early mornings, evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
