MRI Technologist

Prepares and positions patients for diagnostic imaging procedures. Places additional coils and/or immobilizes patient as required for the exam Assists physician during the administration of contrast media and practices medical and surgical aseptic procedures as required. Monitors patients for allergic reactions and respond appropriately Determine imaging factors based on the type of scan and patient characteristics. Thoroughly explain the process and procedure to patients to alleviate anxiety and facilitate patient cooperation. Monitor patients during a procedure to detect excessive anxiety. Conducts examinations with regard to the patients age, medical condition, or other special requirements.
