Franchise Bookkeeping Specialist

Join Our Team as a Franchise Bookkeeping Specialist!At H&R Block*, we are looking for a dedicated Bookkeeping Specialist to provide exceptional bookkeeping, payroll, and customer service. You will play an essential role in supporting our mission to help and inspire communities everywhere. What You Will Contribute:Post financial transactions into subsidiary books and general ledgers. Reconcile and balance accounts for accuracy. Generate and analyze financial statements to support business decisions. Prepare and process payroll with precision. Generate 1099s and W2s and calculate and prepare tax statements efficiently. Communicate professionally with clients, vendors, and banking contacts. Assist in client retention strategies and identify opportunities for client growth. Your Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent. National bookkeeping and payroll certifications from the National Bookkeeping Association, or the capability to obtain them successfully. 1-3 years of relevant bookkeeping experience. Solid understanding of bookkeeping practices and generally accepted accounting principles & procedures. Adept at interpreting and applying complex instructions, policies, and regulations. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism. Demonstrated analytical skills and keen attention to detail. Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with the capacity to multi-task and work independently. Preferred Skills:Experience with Xero accounting software. *This office operates as an independently owned and operated franchise under an agreement with H&R Block.
