Material Handler

Leading global metals manufacturing and distribution company is looking for full-time Material Handler at at a key service center location in Walnut, CA. Candidate should ideally have warehouse experience. We are looking for a self-motivated individual, possessing good communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work within a team. Key Functions: · Unload and load shipments · Ensuring incoming and outgoing shipments are aligned with required documents · Work closely with warehouse leads to ensure all customer orders ship in a timely manner and all daily tasks are accomplished · Operating fork-lift and overhead crane equipment · Perform duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules and standards · Assist with physical count of inventory on a monthly basis · Create shipping crates as needed · Maintain work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition Requirements: · Prefer 2 to 5+ years of experience in metal service center operations · Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. · Ability to work overtime and weekends as required · Strong ability to work within a team · Practical knowledge in math and measuring equipment · Dependability and high motivation · Valid Driver's License required Benefits: · Benefits eligibility on the 1st of the month following employment · Medical / Dental / Vision Plan options of PPO · Company Paid Life Insurance · Company Paid Uniforms after completion of 90-day evaluation period · Paid Time Off package – begin accruing PTO at time of employment · 401K Matching Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Disability insurance Employee assistance program Flexible spending account Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Opportunities for advancement Paid sick time Paid time off Vision insurance Schedule: 8 hour shift Day shift Monday to Friday Weekends as needed Experience: Warehouse experience: 2 years (Preferred) License/Certification: Forklift Certification (Preferred) Driver's License (Preferred) Work Location: In person
