We’re growing quickly and already work with large behavioral health organizations processing millions in collections every month.We’re looking for a Founding Data Platform Engineer to help build the technical foundation that powers Arbora’s analytics, reporting, infrastructure, and operational systems.About the RoleThis is a highly impactful engineering role focused on backend systems, databases, infrastructure, analytics pipelines, and reporting.You’ll work directly with the founder to build scalable data systems and operational infrastructure that support both internal teams and customer-facing reporting products.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys owning systems end-to-end and wants broad technical ownership in an early-stage startup.ResponsibilitiesDesign and maintain backend systems and APIsManage and optimize PostgreSQL databases and data architectureBuild and maintain analytics pipelines and reporting infrastructureDevelop customer-facing dashboards and internal operational reportingOwn cloud infrastructure, deployments, and system reliabilityBuild scalable ETL and data processing workflowsImprove data quality, monitoring, and observabilitySupport integrations with clearinghouses, EHRs, and external systemsCollaborate closely with product and operations teams to build operational toolingTech StackPython / DjangoPostgreSQLGoogle Cloud Platform (GCP)BigQueryCloud RunReact / TypeScriptLooker / analytics toolingRequirements3+ years of experience as data engineer, backend engineer, platform engineer or similar roles.Strong backend engineering fundamentalsStrong SQL and database knowledgeExperience building analytics pipelines and reporting systemsComfortable owning infrastructure and deploymentsProduct-minded engineer with strong problem-solving skillsHigh ownership and ability to work independentlyComfortable in fast-moving startup environmentsComfortable working beyond 9 to 5.
