Digital Strategist
A Digital Strategist at The Moving Company is expected to be comfortable taking ownership of paid and organic marketing execution, leading reporting, providing analytics best practices, and simplifying automation strategies and tools. An MCO Digital Strategist is very familiar with LinkedIn Ads and Google Ads campaign management, Google Analytics, Google Sheets, data interpretation and reaction, and communicating actionable insights to the team and the client through professional reporting, communications, and presentations.
As a Digital Strategist at The Moving Company, a key responsibility is to uncover opportunities to bring in more leads and increase sales for our clients and our company. Your creativity, ingenuity and execution talents will be put to use while you analyze qualitative and quantitative research data to formulate ideas that will boost sales and conversions. We’re looking for a passionate digital marketer that is driven to bring results to campaigns across online channels. A master analyst who leverages data to inform decisions.
Responsibilities include:
Crafting and executing results-focused marketing strategies using data-oriented decision-making to deliver measurable results in client campaigns.
Use tools and platforms effectively to conduct thorough market research, strategically identifying target audiences and key opportunities
Listen to and understand clients’ goals and KPIs, translating them into effective campaigns that integrate diverse insights and perspectives
Develop, implement, and optimize paid marketing campaigns across various platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Ads, LinkedIn Ads)
Knowledgeable in strategic execution, platform management, and common tools for digital marketing research, analytics and reporting, paid search marketing, paid social marketing, website optimization strategies, SEO, and other inbound strategies and tactics, content marketing, email marketing, and CRO tactics.
Manage platform optimizations, budget and bidding, and efficient spending to manage campaigns with continuously improved revenue ROI for clients.
Leading the charge on client reporting and analytics to show clients tangible results through data in an easy-to-understand and concise manner
Create and implement insightful hypotheses and tests
Experience in analyzing Google Analytics to find areas of opportunity
Fluency in using data to clearly communicate findings and produce insights and recommendations about performance to clients and internal stakeholders
Continuously improve reporting processes to provide clear and actionable data
Maintain best practices for data collection, analysis, and reporting
Providing technical and tool support on projects as needed to increase the success of the company’s digital offering and provide flawless execution for clients.
Take initiative to learn new tools and programs and connect with team members to identify project areas where tools and technical help are necessary
Identify and implement automation tools to streamline marketing processes
Develop and maintain workflows for automated campaigns, and ensure all automation strategies are aligned with client goals and objective
Offer smart and effective solutions if third-party tools fail
Providing new and innovative solutions and suggestions for digital marketing programs and opportunities to contribute to The Moving Company’s client offerings with the goal of growing revenue.
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in digital analytics, including best practices for social, email, and search-engine marketing
Execute competitive analyses to understand and make recommendations on client-specific industry trends
Identify areas where MCO as an agency can offer differentiated value
Self Admin Work
Maintain knowledge of all company offerings, tools and trends
Utilize our project management system (ClickUp) to keep the team updated on efforts
Act on best practices and ensure all work is aligned with leadership’s strategic initiatives
Oversee multiple client projects simultaneously, ensuring they stay on track and within budget
Collaborate with our team to identify and prioritize new test ideas, regularly updating internal stakeholders of progress or roadblocks
Keep detailed records and notes of your work, your ideas and your results so we can build a powerful insight library for our clients and our department
Critical Platform and Tool Experience
The Digital Strategist candidate will be rigorously tested for expertise in managing the following tools:
Google Ads
Google Analytics
LinkedIn Ads
Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel
One of the following: Moz, Semrush, or Ahrefs
One of the following: Hubspot, Salesforce, Marketo, or a similar Marketing Automation platform
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Proven experience in digital marketing, with a focus on paid media and analytics
Strong proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads), and quick to learn new software
Familiarity with marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo) is a plus
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and strong attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Strong communication and presentation skills
High level of integrity and work ethic
Must be self‐motivated, and have the ability to work on own initiative, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm
Proven team player, coachable, flexible and adaptable
Practices emotional intelligence to work effectively with multiple personalities, internally and externally
