The HR Manager involves partnering with leaders and teams to fulfill business objectives through solutions that align with our purpose, mission and Core Values fostering employee engagement. A significant emphasis on and experience with positive employee relations is essential. The HR Manager collaborates closely with the Fremont site leaders and teams and is a integral part of the Quality Steel Human Resources Team. The HR Manager reports to the HRBP Manager for QSC and has a dotted line reporting to the Plant Manager in Fremont.Key Responsibilities:Trusted partner to leaders and teams, identifying and addressing employee needs to reinforce the organization’s purpose, core beliefs and values in achievement of the business strategy. Provide daily support to the business with HR responsibility for the Quality Steel, Fremont, OH Plant, including support of staffing, employee engagement, employee development opportunities, payroll, attendance, and incorporating best practices. Effectively coach and guide leaders, identify and resolve problems, interpret and communicate HR policies and procedures and initiatives that support the business. Coach leaders to build team capability and engagement. Develop team building strategies in collaboration with the HR Centers of Expertise (COE’s) and assist in implementation to improve team performance. Partner with HR COE’s to provide input on development and support implementation in QSC for HR strategies, processes, tools and systems that support employee engagement and business results across LTC. Lead by example, demonstrating LT Corp’s “The Way We Lead” (servant leader, devoted, resilient, growth mindset, team player, trustworthy, fun-loving) leadership traits and reinforcing LT Corp’s purpose, core beliefs, and values to all team members. Be present and available, attend Daily Operations Report (DOR) walks, be present on the shop floor daily for ease of employee access. Support implementation of common LT Corp policies. Ensure and uphold company policies and programs for compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulation. Manage onboarding and offboarding of employees to support consistency, compliance, and positive employee relations with QSC team members. Partner with the EH&S to implement and support health and safety goals, best practices and programs within the operations. Experience:Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an HR role demonstrating effective human resources experience with site responsibility. Manufacturing industry experience highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to influence the organization as a trusted partner – commitment to the highest levels of integrity and establishing credibility, enabling execution and results. Demonstrated ability to work proactively and collaboratively with HR professionals in a shared services environment (COEs). Knowledge of Human Resources practices with demonstrated ability to identify solutions enabling aligned with best practices. Demonstrated change management capability for driving innovation, continuous improvement, and sustainable change through people.
