CNC Lathe Setup Machinist (5YRS EXP REQ)
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Setup Machinist for precision aerospace manufacturing. This position focuses exclusively on CNC turning operations and requires strong setup and troubleshooting skills. This requires strong setup and operating of multiple machines. Quality control must be maintained during all machining operations.Responsibilities:Set up CNC lathes for production runsLoad and verify programs; set tooling and work offsetsPerform first-article inspections and make adjustmentsRead and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and work instructionsOperate multiple lathes during production as neededUse precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, etc.)Troubleshoot machining and quality issuesMaintain safety, quality, and production standardsQualifications:10 years CNC lathe setup experience requiredStrong understanding of turning processes and tolerancesAbility to read blueprints and GD&TAttention to detail and problem-solving skillsHigh school diploma or equivalentPreferred Experience:Aerospace or high-precision manufacturingFanuc and similar lathe controlsAS9100 or ISO quality systemsITAR Requirement:Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, or Protected Individual)Job Type: Full-timeBenefits: 401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insurance Experience: CNC lathe: 5 years (Required)
