This individual will play a critical role in overseeing all accounting and reporting and supporting the continued growth of this Company. Their ideal candidate must have a public accounting upbringing and have experience with inventory accounting. Perks:High visibility position Casual work environment Responsibilities:Lead core accounting operations, including oversight of the general ledger, account reconciliations, and monthly close processes across a multi-entity environment.Manage inventory accounting, cost of goods sold, and margin analysis within a distribution environment.Ensure the delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting while driving consistency, standardization, and efficiency throughout the accounting function.Lead continuous improvement efforts to enhance scalability, streamline workflows, and improve the accuracy and reliability of financial data.Partner closely with Internal Audit and external auditors to support control testing and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.Continuously strengthen internal control structures to support organizational growth and increasing operational complexity.Direct all aspects of the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring deadlines are met with a high degree of accuracy.Maintain compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies, including review of key reconciliations and balance sheet integrity.Support external audit activities and contribute to the preparation of financial disclosures as needed.Lead, manage, and develop a team of accounting professionals, providing mentorship, performance guidance, and career development support.Build and maintain a high-performing, collaborative team culture centered on accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.Work cross-functionally with FP&A, operations, and executive leadership to ensure alignment and accuracy in financial reporting and insights.Serve as a key accounting advisor on business initiatives, including operational changes, system implementations, and potential acquisitions.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related degreePublic Accounting experience is required.CPA license is highly desirable. Manufacturing, Distribution, CPG, or other inventory-based industry experience is required.
