Plant Biologist/TechnicianChesterfield, MO 63071Contract: 6 MonthsWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Plant Biologist to support greenhouse and growth chamber research focused on wheat cultivation and plant science innovation. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals looking to gain hands-on experience in agricultural research, plant phenotyping, and controlled-environment experimentation.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport daily wheat plant care activities including watering, fertilizing, pollination, and monitoring plant healthPerform plant phenotyping and collect growth, morphology, and treatment-response dataConduct plant sampling and assist with laboratory-based assaysApply plant treatments following SOPs and safety protocolsAssist with experimental setup, execution, and data analysisMaintain accurate research records using Excel and data systemsEnsure greenhouse and growth chamber cleanliness and organizationCollaborate with research teams to troubleshoot and improve experimentsParticipate in research discussions and presentationsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Plant Biology, Horticulture, Plant Molecular Biology, or related fieldExperience working in greenhouse or controlled plant growth environmentsKnowledge of plant physiology, molecular biology, or biotechnologyStrong attention to detail and ability to follow scientific protocolsGood analytical, organizational, and communication skillsComfortable working independently and in a team environmentProficiency with Microsoft Office, especially ExcelPreferred QualificationsExperience with wheat or cereal crop researchFamiliarity with genomics or plant laboratory assaysScientific curiosity and problem-solving mindset
