Role Description This is a part-time (potentially full-time), on-site Activities Assistant role based in Lake in the Hills, IL. The Activities Assistant will implement and facilitate engaging recreational and social activities for residents, ensuring their physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Responsibilities include planning activity schedules, supporting residents' participation, providing companionship, and fostering a positive atmosphere that enhances the residents' quality of life.8am-5pm***Weekends required*** Qualifications Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to collaborate with residents, families, and team members effectivelyRecreation and Elder Care experience with a focus on engaging and meaningful activity planningProven ability to motivate and support seniors in participating in activitiesTraining skills or willingness to learn techniques for creating a safe and inclusive environment for seniorsEmpathy, patience, and a genuine interest in working with older adultsHigh school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications in recreation therapy or related fields are a plusPrevious experience in senior living, caregiving, or related fields is highly desirable
