The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic purchasing leadership, including the creation and oversight of a long-range procurement strategy that aligns with the organization's growth, financial targets, and operational scalability. This role involves close collaboration with stakeholders across various teams to ensure that purchasing decisions support the company's goals, quality standards, and long-term business strategy. The Director of Purchasing will also be tasked with developing and managing supplier relationships, driving senior-level negotiations for contracts, and overseeing the full lifecycle of supplier agreements.Applicants for the Director of Purchasing position at the company should hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with an advanced degree preferred, and have 7-10 years' of progressive leadership experience in procurement or supply chain, particularly within the residential construction sector. The role requires a proven track record in strategic sourcing, cost management, and contract negotiation, as well as strong financial and analytical capabilities. Experience with modern ERP or purchasing systems is essential, and familiarity with homebuilding platforms is beneficial.
