Summary/Objective We are seeking a detail-oriented Engineering Intern to support drafting and configuration management activities. This role will focus on recreating, updating, and preparing technical drawings for release as controlled documents, as well as supporting part creation and Bill of Materials (BOM) development within our ERP system. The ideal candidate is adaptable, methodical, and comfortable working in an evolving environment where processes and tools may change as project requirements develop. Job Responsibilities Drafting & Drawing Control o Recreate existing legacy drawings into current standards and formats o Review and mark up drawings for accuracy, completeness, and release readiness o Prepare drawings for release as controlled documents in accordance with internal procedures o Incorporate redlines and revisions as directed by engineering and configuration management ERP Data Entry & BOM Management o Create and maintain part records in the ERP system o Develop and manage Engineering Bills of Materials (eBOMs) o Ensure consistency between drawings, part records, and BOM structures o Support data accuracy and standardization across systems PDM / ERP Research o Search ERP and PDM systems to identify existing parts and approved alternates o Avoid duplication by leveraging existing inventory and part records o Assist in maintaining clean and organized data structures Process & Project Support o Work within evolving processes and contribute to improving workflows o Adapt to changing tools, standards, and methodologies as the project progresses o Support configuration management and engineering teams as needed Customer & Compliance Support (as applicable) o Assist in preparing documentation aligned with customer requirements o Participate in implementing and following Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) o Interface with internal stakeholders and, when appropriate, external customers Supervisory Responsibility No direct supervisory responsibility of others.
