In this role, you'll operate a commercial 18-wheeler transporting solid waste and recyclables between transfer stations and landfills.If you take pride in safe driving, understand DOT compliance, and thrive in a hands-on, fast-paced environmentthis is a great opportunity to build a stable, long-term career.What You'll DoSafely operate a tractor-trailer (18-wheeler) on designated transfer station-to-landfill routesPerform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any mechanical concernsFollow all DOT regulations, company safety standards, and traffic lawsNavigate highways, local roads, and landfill environments in varying weather conditionsMaintain accurate documentation including driver logs, trip sheets, and weight ticketsCommunicate effectively with dispatch, landfill personnel, and internal teamsSecure loads properly, operate tarping systems, and follow loading/unloading proceduresReport incidents, near-misses, or safety hazards immediatelyParticipate in ongoing safety training, meetings, and compliance auditsWhat You BringValid Class A CDL with a clean driving record12+ years of tractor-trailer driving experienceExperience with landfill or transfer station operations (preferred)Current DOT Medical Examiner's CertificateKnowledge of Hours of Service (HOS) regulations and electronic logging devices (ELDs)Ability to safely maneuver in tight or high-traffic environmentsStrong attention to detail and commitment to safetySelf-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a teamPhysical RequirementsAbility to sit for extended periods while drivingFrequent climbing in and out of the truck cabComfortable working in environments with noise, odors, outdoor weather, and landfill conditionsSchedule & Work EnvironmentFull-time position with consistent routesSchedule varies based on route assignments and landfill hoursOvertime opportunities available based on business needsWhy Join Us?Stable, full-time work with consistent demandSafety-focused company cultureOpportunity to grow your career in the transportation and environmental services industryPay RangeUSD $29.00 - USD $29.00 /Hr.
