Correctional Registered Nurse (RN) needed in Lima, OH - 2nd Shift! Great opportunity if you are looking to get to work quick! Location: Lima, OH Shift: 2nd Shift + Every 3rd Weekend Pay: 48.00 to 50.00 per hour depending on experience Setting: State-operated correctional facility We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care within a secure correctional environment in Lima, Ohio. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting while making a meaningful impact on an underserved patient population. The ideal candidate is clinically strong, adaptable, and comfortable working within a structured and security-driven environment. In this role, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to incarcerated individuals, including conducting assessments, monitoring patient conditions, administering medications and treatments, and responding to medical emergencies. You will perform routine nursing rounds, document patient progress, and collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary staff to ensure continuity of care. Responsibilities also include managing chronic and acute conditions, assisting with procedures such as IV therapy, wound care, and catheterization, and monitoring patients in restricted housing or under observation. You may also take on a leadership role during your shift, directing support staff, participating in training, and contributing to care plan development. Additional duties include maintaining accurate medical records, completing incident reports, managing medication inventory (including controlled substances), and coordinating external appointments or specialty care as needed. Strong attention to detail, sound clinical judgment, and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential for success in this role.
