About the position
The HR Manager will provide critical HR support to our team by processing payroll, recruiting, and providing consistent HR guidance to managers and employees related to payroll & benefits, HRIS database management and performance management. The HR Manager is expected to provide excellent customer service, drive HR functional excellence and process improvement. In addition, the individual will embrace our Core Values and Purpose and help drive employee engagement initiatives.

Job Responsibilities
Prepare and process bi-weekly payroll for multi-state companies
Prepare and audit payroll related reports for accuracy
Provide payroll & HRIS system support to managers and employees by conducting system training, answering questions, correcting timekeeping issues or other payroll or system needs
Support all aspects of talent acquisition: create and post open jobs, monitor applications, phone screen & qualify candidates; partner with managers to move candidates through steps quickly or disposition
Create offer letters, personnel change letters, termination documents, disciplinary actions, and various other HR correspondences as business demands.
Conduct consistent new hire onboarding program, and educate newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures and benefits
Manage employee benefit enrollment process and online enrollment. answer employee benefit inquiries and ensure accuracy of employee enrollment
Maintain and negotiate benefit plans, documents/records for all Health, Dental, 401k, etc. and conduct monthly/yearly audits as requested and needed to ensure accuracy.
Leave of Absence management including federal, state and personal leaves in accordance with law
Respond to outside requests for information including unemployment or Workers Comp claims and audits.
Provide counseling on employee relations issues and make appropriate recommendations.
Maintains data integrity and confidentiality of employee files and records and follows all processing procedures, adheres to policies
Conduct stay & exit interviews
Get involved with the business to understand operations & services and provide optimal support
Assists in the administration and coordination of employee engagement and retention programs
Communicate and help train managers and employees on company initiatives, policies, and practices
Work with Paycom and states to ensure the filing requirements are adhered to; to include HIRD, Workers Comp Filing, and PFMLA.
Maintain knowledge of HR trends, best practices, and regulatory changes
Degree in Human Resources, or related discipline; or 3 years of relevant HR experience
Minimum of 2 years of full cycle payroll processing experience required, Paycom preferred
SHRM or PHR a plus but not required
Knowledge of HR/Labor Laws
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong consultative and coaching skills
Experience in full cycle recruiting
Energetic, positive, outgoing attitude
Strong time management and organizational skills
Ability to think on your feet to provide solutions
High proficiency using technology including HRIS and Microsoft Office applications
Experience using Paycom a plus, but not required
