Spring and Wire Product ManufacturingOther Personal ServicesAdministration of Environmental Quality ProgramsNonferrous Metal (except Aluminum) Production and ProcessingRadio and Television Broadcasting StationsThe Mom Project is proud to support our client, a retail banking institution based in Chicago, with their search for a Senior Developer to join their team!ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain middleware and back-end systems supporting payment rail platformsArchitect scalable, high-performance, and stable system capabilities for payment processing solutionsDesign and maintain responsive system architectures, databases, servers, APIs, and integrations with third-party applicationsBuild dynamic software products and applications across front-end, middleware, and back-end componentsManage software development activities from conception through deployment and post-production supportMaintain, enhance, and upgrade software applications following deploymentOversee the full software development lifecycle, including analysis, development, testing, deployment, and maintenanceGuide and support software engineering teams in application development and deployment activitiesOversee automated testing processes and analyze testing outcomesModify, troubleshoot, and test enhancements to existing applications and systemsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to support technical delivery and operational goalsProvide technical consulting, analytical support, and problem resolution for complex system issuesEnsure cross-platform compatibility and resolve issues during testing and production phasesContribute to technical documentation and system design artifactsSupport Agile and Waterfall software development methodologiesSkills And QualificationsPost-secondary degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field preferred5-7 years of relevant software development experience or equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience working within financial institutions and a strong understanding of payment flows for Wires, ACH, TCH, or Zelle platformsStrong experience with backend technologies and frameworks, including Node.js and/or JavaExperience with AWS services, including serverless and event-driven/reactive architecturesExperience working with XML/XSD technologiesExperience with databases and caching technologies, including DynamoDB, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and other NoSQL or RDBMS platformsExperience using version control and collaboration tools such as GitHub, JIRA, Confluence, and SharePointFamiliarity with AI tools such as GitHub Copilot and AWS BedrockStrong understanding of SDLC methodologies, including Agile and WaterfallStrong technical writing and documentation skillsStrong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and collaboration skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsExperience with data-driven decision makingAbility to work independently and manage non-routine technical challengesPreferred QualificationsExperience with ISO message specificationsExperience with front-end technologies and frameworksAWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate certificationAWS Certified Developer certificationHours and Location:Monday - Friday, 40 hours/weekOn-site in Chicago, IL, and Tempe, AZSalaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based on the number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents the company's expected target for the first year in this position.
