They should be able to concisely and accurately share knowledge with their teammates.About the RoleThis role will involve the supervision of a team of hourly employees operating within xAI's logistics organization. Our goal is to become a leader in logistics performance with high inventory efficiency/accuracy and industry leading customer service while maintaining a safe work environment that utilizes the latest in applicable technologies. This supervisor will also be responsible for leading and driving continuous improvement throughout all aspects of their operations.ResponsibilitiesManage an hourly workforce by assessing employee performance, providing positive/constructive feedback, facilitating conflict resolution, and addressing repeat issues with corrective actions, performance improvement plans or through disciplinary meansLead by setting an example, taking feedback from all levels of the organization, and motivating your organization to achieve the highest level of resultsMonitor and improve operations, ensuring a safe work environment with the goal of zero OSHA recordable annuallyManage the incoming acceptance, storing, and issuing of a wide variety of parts, details, and hardware into inventoryManage operations that provide industry leading levels of customer service in all operations: recognizing the needs of the business and adapting to support our missionLead cost saving opportunities, identifying internal/external cost reductions and optimization opportunitiesEnsure cycle counting procedures are routinely followed to meet both our internal and external audit requirementsDevelop and maintain the appropriate service routes and material replenishments to deliver material to internal customers at agreed upon service levelsSupervise the local shipping and receiving operation; coordinate movements into and out of the local facility, along with critical point to point movements outside of the local facilityDrive projects and changes that contribute to logistics ongoing improvementEnsure procedures are routinely being followed for shelf-life storage and maintaining proper rotation of stock and FIFOEnsure the appropriate environmental controls are continuously effective, depending on the material requirements of the items being storedActively monitor and grow the workforce, ensuring team members are challenged and performing at the expected standardsMonitor and approve employee time keeping recordsBasic QualificationsBachelor's degree and 2+ years of professional experience in materials management, supply chain, or production/manufacturing; or 4+ years of professional experience in materials management, supply chain, or production/manufacturing in lieu of a degreePreferred Skills and Experience5+ years of experience working with enterprise resource planning (ERP)/inventory management softwareExperience working with material requirements planning (MRP) systems5+ years of leadership experience within materials managementExperience using WarpDriveCompletion of a leadership or rotational development programAPICS certification – CPIM or CSCPLean/6-Sigma experienceGreen/black belt certificationsAbility to operate forklift equipmentExcellent communication and team-building skillsOrganized and self-driven, capable of working independently with little directionAbility to work in a fast-paced/cross-functional environmentExperience within an aerospace, aviation, or automotive manufacturing environmentStrong experience with Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to work in a high-stress environmentGood response to challenges posed by short deadlinesAcute attention to detailAdditional RequirementsLifting up to 25 lbs.
