Senior Staff Accountant/Analyst
Fort Worth, TX - hybrid/remote – super flexible on days in office (people live all over the metroplex, usually go in when CFO is in town/board meetings).
One of Vaco’s private equity‑backed distribution clients is looking to onboard an Accountant/Analyst due to continued growth of the organization. This is a great opportunity to get exposure to the FP&A side of things for folks in accounting. Accountants will be responsible for the full‑cycle accounting and budgeting/forecasting for one of the divisions in America. This role requires strong technical accounting skills, the ability to manage multiple entities, and a proactive mindset in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.

Compensation: $85‑90 K + bonus.
Day‑to‑day
Manage full‑cycle accounting including monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, reclasses, and intercompany transactions
Perform monthly bank reconciliations and balance sheet account reconciliations
Analyze financial results and investigate variances
Prepare monthly property financial statements and supporting schedules
Deliver timely and accurate reporting packages to internal stakeholders and asset management teams
Assist with budget vs. actual analysis and forecasting support
Support revenue recognition in accordance with GAAP
Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation calculations
Support external audits, lender reporting, and tax preparation processes
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
Assist with internal controls and process improvements
Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve reporting efficiency
Participate in system implementations or enhancements as the company scales
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
1–3+ years of accounting experience
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
Experience with inventory is a big plus
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
