Sales Manager, OEM Lighting ChannelPosition Overview We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead and grow our OEM Lighting Channel. The role is focused on developing strategic relationships with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), driving revenue for LED lighting products and associated drivers, and managing a team of channel sales professionals. The ideal candidate combines technical knowledge of LED systems and drivers with proven channel sales experience to execute business development, account management, and product-specification support.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute a strategic sales plan to grow OEM partnerships and revenue for LED lighting products and drivers.Prospect, qualify, and manage key OEM accounts, building long-term relationships with engineering, purchasing, and product teams.Collaborate with product management and engineering to influence product roadmaps and ensure OEM requirements for LEDs and drivers are met.Provide technical sales support and product specification guidance to OEM customers, including ROI and application recommendations.Lead, coach, and motivate a small channel sales team and/or distributors to achieve sales targets and expand market coverage.Drive contract negotiations, pricing strategies, and order forecasts while ensuring profitable margin performance.Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes affecting LED lighting and drivers; translate insights into actionable sales initiatives.Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings to generate leads and enhance brand visibility.Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates for senior management and contribute to annual business planning.QualificationsBachelors degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.Minimum 5 years of sales experience in lighting, ideally selling to OEMs, with demonstrated success in account development and revenue growth.Technical knowledge of LED lighting systems and power drivers, including familiarity with specifications, thermal management, and dimming protocols.Proven track record negotiating complex contracts and managing long sales cycles with cross-functional customers.Experience leading channel partners or direct sales teams, with strong coaching and performance management skills.Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities with both technical and commercial stakeholders.Ability to travel as needed to meet customers, attend trade shows, and support regional teams (typically up to 30%).Strong analytical skills and proficiency with CRM tools and sales forecasting methodologies.
