On-Premise Sales Representative

Job title: On-Premise Sales RepresentativeReports to: District ManagerPay and PerksCommission Only - this role pays commissions based on the sales you generate.Mileage and Cell Phone reimbursement- this role is eligible for mileage and cell phone reimbursement for business use administrated through a third-party service. You are required to have an electronic device capable of GPS tracking for mileage for this role.Role overviewAs an On-Premise Sales Representative at Tryon, you're not just selling our portfolio, you're building meaningful partnerships and bringing our products to life where people gather to enjoy it. Representing our brands in bars, restaurants, and entertainment venues, you'll use your sales expertise and high caliber customer service to increase sales volume, expand distribution, and promote our expertly curated portfolio. With a passion for craftmanship, you'll play a key role in how our beverages are experienced on tap, by the glass, on a list, across the bar, and on the shelves of a specialty retailer.Duties and responsibilitiesRun route as written, dailyFocus sales efforts on new and existing restaurants, bars, venues, and specialty retailers in the area of your routeInitiate, negotiate, and close salesOrganize and plan events to increase sales in accounts on your routeTroubleshoot customer issues and provide prompt resolutionCommunicate with customers regarding pricing, shipping dates, and any anticipated delaysFollow up with customers to ensure accurate and timely delivery of ordersEnter customer orders for upcoming deliveries within required timeframesEducate customers on our portfolio, focusing on product knowledge and brand storiesWork evenings and nights as needed within the assigned territoryAttend all sales meetings and training sessionsQualificationsREQUIREDMust be 21 or olderMust have a valid driver's licenseMust have a clean driving recordExcellent customer service skillsOutstanding verbal & written communication skillsAbility to multi-task with minimal errorsMust be a team player and work well under minimal supervisionKnowledge of safe work practicesBasic knowledge of Excel and WordPREFERREDHigh School Diploma or GEDPrevious sales, merchandising, or pull-up experiencePrevious food service or distribution experienceIntimate knowledge of wine, beer, or the Tryon portfolioProficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPointPrevious experience using ERP systems (Encompass preferred)Working conditionsThis position requires one's use of personal vehicle to call on customers. This position will primarily work in the assigned territory in the designated market.
