The perfect candidate will be ready to move their entire shift, be confident in handling dogs of all breeds and sizes, be able to maintain positive/calm energy even when dealing with high-energy dogs and is extremely reliable.This position earns competitive pay of $14-$15/hour, based on experience. If this sounds like the right animal care opportunity for you, apply today!The jobThe primary goal of the doggy daycare attendant is to ensure a safe & enriching environment for all pets in our careYou play an essential part in caring for our boarding pets: feeding, cleaning, walking dogs, as well as caring for our cat guestsYou ensure the safety of the dogs participating in daycare by taking an active role as pack leader and understanding dog body languageMaintaining cleanliness of the facility by following all cleaning procedures dailyFollowing detailed feeding and general care directions for each individual petNotifying management of any concerns in relation to the pet's health and/or behaviorUsing proper dog handling techniques to manage a group of 15-20 dogsQualificationsPhysical abilities: this position requires standing for long periods, walking, bending, crouching, lifting, and large dog handlingAdaptability – every day is different!Flexible availability – we have staff on site 365 days a year (must be available to work holidays and weekends)Must be at least 18 years of ageHigh school diploma (or equivalent)Doggy Daycare Attendant Work ScheduleSchedule varies each week (we're flexible!)Shifts start as early as 6:45am M-F, 8am weekendsShifts end as late as 9pmEmployees are expected to be available weekend & holidaysPerksBring your dog to work with you!Discounted boarding ratesDiscounts on retail itemsUse of our grooming salon's bathing roomAnnual employee reviewsFlexible schedulePaid time off, 401K, vision & dental (full-time only)*Please do not call the facility about your application status*
