Accounting Manager
About the Role: We have partnered with a great company looking for a highly skilled Accounting & Finance Specialist to join their team and play a key role in managing their Law firm’s financial operations. This position is ideal for someone with a strong legal industry background, deep accounting expertise. You will support accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and payroll operations while contributing to process improvements and ensuring compliance with GAAP and law firm accounting standards.Key Responsibilities:Assist with day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and ledger maintenance.Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, highlighting trends and insights for leadership.Support budgeting and forecasting activities, working closely with department heads to track expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.Act as a backup for payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate payroll administration.Monitor cash flow, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, and resolve discrepancies promptly.Maintain compliance with GAAP, law firm accounting practices, and internal policies.Generate customized financial reports using Aderant Expert and other reporting tools to support management decisions.Assist with ad-hoc financial projects, audits, and process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.Manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion, professionalism, and integrity.What You’ll Bring to the Table:Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.5+ years of experience in the legal industry, preferably in mid-sized or large law firms.5+ years of accounting/finance experience with progressively increasing responsibility.Advanced proficiency in Aderant Expert and Microsoft Excel.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
