The ideal candidate understands thefundamentals of federal acquisition and thrives in a dynamic environmentwhere new ideas and adaptability are key.Key Responsibilities:Acquisition Analysis & ResearchConduct research on federal acquisition topics including:Basic principles of government acquisitionFAR structure and interpretationRFI/RFP componentsContract types (Fixed Price, Cost-Type, etc.)SOW vs. PWS requirementsAppropriations and funding typesIdentify challenges small businesses face in doing business withgovernment.Analyze findings and prepare detailed, insight‐driven briefs withrecommended solutions.Explore innovative approaches companies can use to enter or expandwithin the federal market.Event & Engagement SupportSupport planning and logistics for in‐person and virtual outreachevents.Develop event materials such as surveys, PowerPoint presentations,agendas, and training products.Present on basic acquisition topics in group settings or duringindustry engagements.Collect, organize, and analyze data gathered from events orstakeholder interactions.Communication & PresentationCreate polished, visually clear PowerPoint briefs and acquisitionoverviews.Deliver presentations to internal stakeholders, small businesses,and senior leadership.Translate complex acquisition concepts into digestible,non‐technical language.Client & Stakeholder EngagementSupport the NRO customer by providing proactive, high‐qualityservice and follow‐through.Build and maintain relationships with small business partners,entrepreneurs, and NRO stakeholders.Coordinate with colleagues daily in this highly collaborativeenvironment.Innovation & InitiativeWork in an evolving program where creativity and adaptability areessential.Generate new ideas, products, and approaches without waiting fordaily tasking.Provide feedback and propose improvements to strengthen DBO effortsand outcomes.Required:Foundational understanding of federal acquisition principlesWorking knowledge of the FAR and how to navigate itBasic understanding of contract types, RFI/RFP structures, andacquisition documentationFamiliarity with appropriations and funding distinctionsStrong research and analytical skillsExcellent verbal and written communicationConfident public speaking and briefing abilitiesProficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and
