Company DescriptionThe Vendor Requirements Analyst I is responsible for the successful documentation of simple to medium complexity vendor file requirements in accordance with Empyrean system standards. The Vendor Requirements Analyst works directly with various vendors to define file requirements. They also collaborate internally with the designated teams to understand how data requirements and benefit/plan design impact the overall file requirements. In addition, they work closely with the file development team to ensure they are receiving file requirements in a standard/concise manner and help to develop standard requirements templates by vendor. The Vendor Requirements I role requires a semi-technical orientation, foundational Health and Welfare process knowledge, strong personal accountability, initiative, learning agility, and effective communication skills.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesUpdate and review for material changes all components that are required of the initial due diligence performed during implementation. Works with different insurance vendors to coordinate/lead file requirements meetingsDocuments file requirements against Empyrean data model Collaborates with other internal teams to understand client reporting needs versus data being receivedMaintains and coordinates development ticket tracking with the development team and client operationsProvides regular status of requirements being worked in accordance with overall project timelinesBuilds file requirements efficiency through the creation of vendor specific requirements templatesRequired Skills And Abilities Knowledge/working history of reviewing/updating file requirementsAdvanced Level required in Microsoft Excel/formula writing (2+years)Foundational Health and Welfare domain knowledge/processesUnderstanding of data models/relational databasesAbility to manage time in accordance with deliverablesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong teamwork skills and attention to detailNot required but strong plus:SQL Experience (2+years)JIRAConfluenceKnowledge, Experience And/Or Education Requirements Bachelor’s degree preferred but not requiredIn lieu of Bachelor’s degree, 2 or more years of experience in business analytics, management information systems, human resources management, benefits administration or a related field Previous benefits administration and client consulting experience (2 to 4 years)Any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be consideredDisclaimer: Managers have the right to assign or redesign the responsibilities of the above-mentioned job description without notice and at any timeEmpyrean is an Equal Opportunity Employer: including disability and veterans
