BIM Engineer

Location: Denver, COThe OpportunityWe’re seeking an MEP BIM Engineer to support the coordination and constructability of complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.This is a hands-on VDC role for someone who understands that a coordinated model has to work in the field, not just look good on a screen. You’ll work closely with project teams, designers, trade partners, and field personnel to identify conflicts, coordinate building systems, and help turn design information into installation-ready solutions.The ideal candidate combines strong Revit/Navisworks skills with a practical understanding of MEP construction.What You’ll DoDevelop, update, and coordinate 3D MEP models throughout the project lifecycleCoordinate mechanical, electrical, plumbing, piping, ductwork, and related building systemsPerform clash detection and identify conflicts between MEP systems, structure, and architectural elementsParticipate in multidisciplinary BIM/VDC coordination meetingsWork with project teams and trade partners to resolve clashes and constructability issuesIncorporate design changes, RFIs, submittals, and field information into coordinated modelsReview models for accuracy, constructability, clearances, access, and installation requirementsSupport the development of coordinated layouts and installation-ready informationMaintain model standards, file organization, and project documentationCommunicate coordination issues clearly to VDC leadership, project teams, and field personnelHelp identify potential problems before they result in field conflicts or reworkSupport fabrication and prefabrication efforts where applicableWhat We’re Looking ForExperience in VDC, BIM, MEP coordination, or construction modelingWorking knowledge of Revit and NavisworksUnderstanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, piping, or HVAC systemsAbility to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and coordination documentsExperience performing clash detection and resolving model coordination issuesUnderstanding of how MEP systems are actually routed, installed, supported, and maintained in the fieldStrong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple coordination prioritiesEffective communication and collaboration with project, design, and field teamsExperience with fabrication, prefabrication, or design-to-fabrication workflows is a plusExperience with complex commercial, industrial, healthcare, manufacturing, or mission critical projects is a plusA Strong Fit Could Come FromCandidates may currently be working as a VDC Coordinator, BIM Coordinator, MEP Coordinator, BIM/VDC Specialist, Mechanical Designer, Electrical Designer, or BIM Modeler with hands-on MEP coordination experience.Field professionals who have transitioned into BIM/VDC and bring strong knowledge of how MEP systems are installed are also encouraged to apply.
