When Delivery MattersAs a Maintenance Technician, you will be a critical part of keeping our manufacturing team operating at full capacity! The Maintenance Technician responds to and troubleshoots electrical and/or mechanical problems, dismantling, repairing, rebuilding, and maintaining existing machinery and equipment to keep our equipment at it's optimal condition.Essential Job FunctionsDismantle, rebuild and reassemble machinery using hand and power toolsInstalls wiring of electronic devicesInstallation of a wide range of new and used equipmentWiring new electrical panels by following electrical drawings/printsInstallation of both water and electrical plumbingSupport required ISO documents/records associated with this department.Observe and listen to operating machinery or equipment in order to diagnose machine malfunctions and determine the need for adjustments or repairsMaintains the preventive maintenance on equipment, as scheduledComplete yearly RCRA Hazardous Waste and DOT Initial Training/Annual ReviewSkills and AbilitiesStrong mechanical aptitudeKnowledge of electrical wiring and componentsExperience with 120V, 240V, 480V 3 phase and low voltage controlsAbility to read and interpret maintenance manuals, diagrams and blueprints (German equipment)Ability to work independently; self starterMay be requested to perform over-time activitiesStrong written and verbal communication skillsForklift driving experience desiredQualificationsCompletion of High School, GED or equivalent2-5 of experience working as a Maintenance Technician or Electrical Technician, maintaining and repairing mechanical and electrical problemsKnowledge of OSHA and EPA requirements. (Examples: Lock Out/Tag Out, Pinch Points, electrical codes, HMIS/MSDS requirements, waste disposal.)Must comply with all company rules and policiesWork EnvironmentWhile performing the essential functions of this job, the employee operates within a plant environment. The employee is exposed to loud continuous noise from surrounding operating machinery.Physical DemandsThis is an active role as the employee will work in a manufacturing environment. While performing the essential functions of the job the employee will be required to stand, balance or walk on a consistent basis and may on a frequent basis be required to twist, turn, stoop, squat, kneel, bend or reach. The employee must use safe lifting techniques when lifting objects up to 50 pounds and carry out repetitive hand/wrist movements to include forearm rotation.
