Today, we carry on this tradition by offering a peaceful retreat where guests can experience the rejuvenating power of these waters in a calming setting that only nature can provide.POSITION:PREP COOK (FULL-TIME) The Prep Cook is responsible for preparing ingredients, maintaining kitchen organization, and ensuring the kitchen is fully set up for daily service. This role supports the culinary team by executing prep tasks efficiently, maintaining cleanliness, and upholding food safety standards.This position requires some weekends and holidays.RESPONSIBILITIES:• Prepare ingredients for daily service, including chopping, slicing, dicing, marinating, and portioning.• Follow recipes and prep lists provided by the Executive Chef or Kitchen Supervisor.• Set up stations and ensure all ingredients are ready for Food + Beverage Attendants before service begins.• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen prep areas, walk-ins, and storage areas.• Label and store all food items properly following FIFO (First In, First Out) practices.• Assist with receiving and properly storing deliveries.• Monitor food quality and report any issues with freshness and inventory.• Support basic cooking tasks as needed (e.g. sauces, stocks, batch items)• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards.• Assist with end-of-shift cleaning and resetting the kitchen for the next service.• Perform other related duties as assigned.Due to changing operational demands, it may be necessary to undertake various functions that are not specifically related to this position. This individual may be required to carry out additional tasks and duties as needed or as directed. Additionally, employee responsibilities and job descriptions are subject to review and modification.Requirements• Must have availability on weekends and holidays.• Previous kitchen or food prep experience preferred.• Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and knife skills.• Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.• Strong attention to detail and organization.• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.• Reliable, punctual, and able to work early morning shifts.• CPR and first aid certification a plus and /or the willingness to be trained.• Ability to walk or stand and move about the resort (both indoors and outdoors) for eight or more hours per day, sit, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb stairs, push and pull items weighing up to 75 pounds.• The position requires manual dexterity, auditory and visual skills, the ability to follow written and verbal instructions and procedures, and the capacity to communicate effectively and professionally.• The person in this position will need to be comfortable working in an indoor/outdoor use space.Ottine Mineral Springs is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity, equity, and inclusion.
