Financial Analyst
Las Vegas, NV / Full-time / On-site (Possible Hybrid)Position SummaryGC2IT is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst to support program financial management, budgeting, cost tracking, and procurement coordination for an international Command, Control, Communications, and Intelligence (C3i) modernization program.The Financial Analyst will play a key role in maintaining financial visibility across the program lifecycle, ensuring accurate cost reporting, budget monitoring, and alignment between labor, materials, travel, and other direct costs. This position will work closely with Program Management, Contracts, Accounting, and the Purchasing team to ensure financial integrity, compliance, and proactive cost control. This position is contingent upon contract award.ResponsibilitiesMonitor and manage program budgets, funding allocations, and cost performanceTrack labor, material, travel, and subcontractor expenditures against approved budgetsMaintain accurate project setup, cost tracking, and reporting within Deltek CostpointSupport purchasing activities by validating funding availability prior to commitmentsCoordinate with the Purchasing team to ensure proper charge codes, cost allocation, and financial controls are applied to procurementsReview and reconcile purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and vendor invoicesAssist in preparation of financial status reports, forecasts, and burn rate analysesSupport development and maintenance of Estimates at Completion (EACs) and financial projectionsReconcile actuals against forecasts and identify cost variancesProvide financial data in support of program reviews and internal leadership briefingsEnsure compliance with FAR cost principles and internal accounting policiesSupport monthly financial close processes and contract reporting requirementsAssist with audit readiness and documentation support as requiredRequirementsDemonstrated experience using Deltek Costpoint for project setup, cost tracking, and reportingStrong understanding of project-based accounting within a government contracting environmentExperience supporting purchasing/procurement teams with funding validation and cost controlKnowledge of cost-reimbursable and fixed-price contract structuresFamiliarity with FAR cost principles and allowable cost guidelinesAbility to analyze financial data and identify trends, variances, and risksExperience developing forecasts, EACs, and budget projectionsStrong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, financial analysis functions)High attention to detail and accuracy in financial data managementStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple prioritiesEffective communication skills for coordination with cross-functional teamsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field5+ years of experience in government contract financial analysis3+ years of hands-on experience with Deltek CostpointExperience supporting DoD or FMS programs preferredS. citizenship requiredPHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
