You will supervise daily billing operations, mentor team members, and serve as a key resource on billing rules and regulations.Essential duties and responsibilities include:Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hospital billing rules and regulations, acting as a resource for the team.Supervise, train, and mentor the hospital billing team to enhance performance and professional growth.Evaluate and monitor team members' on-the-job performance, providing coaching and counseling to foster positive change.Set clear objectives and priorities, assign tasks, and ensure high-quality work output.Provide leadership and sound judgment to navigate business challenges effectively.Oversee daily activities to address emerging issues and trends, keeping stakeholders informed of risk assessments.Education:An associate degree in healthcare or a related field is required. Candidates with five years of hospital billing experience may substitute this requirement. A bachelor's degree is preferred.Work Experience:At least one year of hospital billing experience is required.Certification/License:HFMA Certification is preferred but not mandatory.Mental/Physical Requirements:This role demands considerable mental concentration and the ability to communicate detailed information effectively, both orally and in writing. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are essential.Working Conditions:Work is performed in an office environment with typical background noise from equipment and conversations.
