Production Leader

L.A. Burdick Chocolates, celebrated for its exquisite artisanal chocolates, pastries, and drinking chocolates, is searching for experienced Production Leaders to work in our manufacturing facility in Walpole NH. To be successful in this position you must have a culinary background, kitchen experience and leadership skills. In this position you would be working with Burdick’s talented chocolatiers learning the skill and techniques used to manufacture our handmade artisanal chocolates and confections. No experience with chocolate or confections? No problem, we are willing to train those who are willing and motivated to learn this unique and challenging process. This is a full-time day position working Monday through Friday. Duties/Responsibilities Help to meet daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal quotas. Efficient in identifying needs and communicating daily to Production Managers. Become crossed trained in all production stations. Ability to prioritize, assign and delegate jobs to other workers to meet company goals Able to lead and motivate the team, and help create a positive work environment. Train new and/or current employees to ensure the work is done correctly and efficiently Ensure all work areas and equipment are clean and sanitized at the end of each shift. Knowledgeable in SafeServe standards and/or certification Skills, Traits and Experiences Experience working in a commercial kitchen is required. Must have basic knowledge of confections and pastries. An appreciation for aesthetics, symmetry, and standardization. Patience while working on complex production projects. Extremely organized and able to maintain a clean work area. The ability to teach and coach other employees. Reliable, honest, hardworking, and committed. Flexibility and willingness to work longer hours during the peak seasons.
