Location: OconomowocJob Type: Days - 1st ShiftWeekly Hours: 36We Are Hiring: Critical Care Tech - ICU- Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital- .9 FTE- 12hr DaysOconomowoc Memorial Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit is a 16 bed, “blended” unit which includes medical surgical intensive care beds and intermediate care beds.Schedule Details: This .9 FTE commits to 36 hours per week of 0700-1930. Required to work every other weekend and alternating holidays. This is not a seasonal or temporary position.What You Will DoThe Critical Care Technician provides care to patients in a high-acuity, Intensive Care Unit. Provide quality nursing care to patients; implement specific procedures and programs; coordinate patient care within the department, as well as with other departments.Other Responsibilities IncludeAssist the RN or Physician with special procedures such as DMR care, Emptying drains, suctions of chest tubesSet up sterile field and assist physicians with line placements and chest tube insertionsPhlebotomy – drawing blood from arterial lines as delegatedAssists patients with activities of daily living (i.e., dressing, toileting, positioning and nourishment)Discontinue arterial lines, sheaths, Foley catheters, and I.V’sInsertion of peripheral IV’s and Foley CathetersStock room and unit with suppliesWhat You Will NeedHigh School Diploma – or equivalentBasic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart AssociationAt least 1 year of CNA or similar experienceProHealth Care, one of the largest employers in Waukesha County, offers work that is challenging and rewarding.
