Job Description Gatekeeper opening at our Hodges Manor community located in Portsmouth, Virginia.JOB TITLE:MF-GatekeeperREPORTS TO:Service ManagerSUPERVISES:N/APOSITION TYPE:Full-Time, Non-ExemptSUMMARY OF POSITION:Ensure visitors of the pool are authorized. This position is considered an essential function to the operation of the community therefore, consistent attendance is an essential function of this position, as it directly impacts the employee's ability to perform their duties effectively and ensures proper workflow and communication within the team.PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Greet residents, prospects, and visitors making them feel welcome and comfortable.Abides by Fair Housing Laws.Observes conduct of guests as related to pool rules and regulations and reports specific violations to management.Routinely monitors all mechanical equipment related to the pool's operation and advises the maintenance department of chemical and other needed repairs.Regularly check the levels of chemicals in the pool; maintains chemical log; (Employees under the age of 18 are NOT permitted to handle pool chemicals.)Keeps the pool free of debris; waters flowers/landscaping in and around pool area.Cleans and disinfects bathrooms and shower areas.Other duties as assigned.OCCASIONAL FUNCTIONS:Move and arrange pool furniture.Collect and inventory pool related equipment, towels, etc.POSITION REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:Ability to read and write in EnglishPHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:Physical Activities up to and including, typing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, climbing stairs, or standing for periods of time.Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.GENERAL:Hours worked will coincide with the hours of operation in the community. This position may be required to work on weekends as necessary.
