Position Summary The IT Support & Security Technician (Part-Time / Entry-Level) provides first-level technical assistance and contributes to maintaining and securing company IT systems. This position is designed for a motivated college student or recent graduate seeking hands-on experience in information technology and cybersecurity. Working under the supervision of the IT Manager, this role supports daily IT operations, assists in monitoring and maintaining system security, and ensures a positive user experience through responsive and effective technical support. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide Tier 1 help desk support for hardware, software, and network-related issues for both local and remote users. Assist in deploying, configuring, and maintaining workstations, mobile devices, and related equipment. Monitor security dashboards and alerts, assist with incident response, and help identify potential vulnerabilities. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control in alignment with company security policies. Maintain accurate documentation of systems, configurations, and technical procedures. Provide end-user training on security awareness and IT best practices. Collaborate with senior IT and security staff to identify and implement process improvements. Perform other duties as assigned.  Qualifications Education and Experience Currently a senior pursuing or recently completed a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Previous internship or project experience in IT or security preferred but not required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Foundational understanding of Windows and macOS operating systems, and networking concepts such as TCP/IP. Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and basic troubleshooting techniques. Strong interest in cybersecurity and a desire to learn best practices in data and network protection. Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Strong commitment to customer service and teamwork. Preferred Certifications CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ (or in progress).  Working Conditions Primarily office-based with potential for hybrid work once established. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally (e.g., moving computer equipment). May require occasional evening or weekend work during system maintenance or updates.  Physical Requirements Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods while using a computer. Ability to lift and move IT equipment weighing up to 25 pounds. Must be able to communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and via computer. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.  Employment Conditions Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and verification of eligibility to work in the United States. Employment with NUVIOIT LLC. is at-will, meaning either the employee or the company may terminate the employment relationship at any time, with or without cause or notice, in accordance with applicable laws.  Career Development Direct mentorship from experienced IT and cybersecurity professionals. Opportunities for professional growth and development within the IT department. Strong potential for full-time employment based on performance and organizational needs.  Equal Employment Opportunity Statement NUVIOIT LLC. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
