Ophthalmic Technician/Medical Scribe

Ithaca Eye Care Optometry Ophthalmic Assistant / Medical Scribe Ithaca Eye Care is an established optometry practice since 2014. Our business continues to grow, and we need another team member. The job: This role helps support the doctor, patient care staff, and our patients. Applicants for this position should have experience in performing ophthalmic diagnostic testing. You will: Support doctor and patient care staff. Perform ophthalmic diagnostic testing (such as visual fields, fundus photogrpahy, OCT scans, lensometry, autorefraction, ect) Taking medical histories. Monitor patient flow. Prepare the patient for an exam. Assist the doctor in scribing exams Relay communications to patients. Coordinate contact lens orders. Our ideal candidate will have: A caring and friendly attitude. Feels comfortable working with patients. 2-4 years of experience in a healthcare setting. Ophthalmic technician training. Strong computer skills. Strong customer service experience. Attention to detail, ability to multi-task. RELIABILITY !!! Our hours are extremely family friendly, no weekends!
