Job DescriptionQualifications- CNC Machinist/CNC Set-up Operator\nWe are a CNC machine shop seeking a skilled CNC team member who can contribute to high-quality, on-time production. the ideal candidate has hands-on experience in CNC machining and takes pride in accuracy, efficiency, and craftsmanship. \n \nRequired Skills & Experience \n\nExperience operating CNC mills, lathes, and or Swiss machining in a production or job shop environment. \nAbility to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings \nUnderstanding of GD&T \nProficient with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometer, height gauges, indicators, etc.) \nAbility to maintain tight tolerances and perform in-process inspections \nExperience with tool changes, offsets, and basic machine adjustments \nStrong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts \nAbility to work independently and manage time effectively \nReliable attendance and a strong work ethic \n\n \nAdditional Qualifications for Setup Machinists (Preferred):\n\nAbility to set up CNC machines from start to first article approval \nExperience loading tools, setting tools lengths/diameters, and setting work offsets \nAbility to prove out new jobs and make necessary program or offset adjustments \nUnderstanding of feeds, speeds, tooling selection, and work holding methods \nAbility to troubleshoot machining issues (chatter, finish problems, tool wear, etc.) \n\n \nAdditional Qualifications for CNC Programmers (Preferred):\n\nExperience with CAM software \nAbility to create and edit CNC programs for mills, lathes, and/or Swiss machines \nKnowledge of G-code and ability to make on-the-fly program edits at the machine \nExperience with fixture design or process improvement \n\n \nWhat we're looking for:\n\nSomeone who takes ownership of their work and cares about part quality \nA team player who communicates clearly and supports others on the floor \nA problem-solver who can think through setups and machining challenges \nWillingness to work in a small shop environment where versatility matters\nTakes pride in producing quality parts, not just hitting cycle start \nCommunicates clearly about issues before they become problems \nWorks well in a small shop environment where teamwork matters \nWants to grow skills and take on more responsibility over time \n
