Maintenance ApprenticeAbout the RoleHamtramck Recycling is looking for a Maintenance Apprentice to join our hands-on maintenance team.You do not need years of experience or a journeyman card to apply. What matters most is showing up every day, working hard, and being willing to learn. We are looking for motivated individuals who want to build real industrial trade skills that can turn into a long-term career.This is not a “stand around and watch” type of job. You will work directly alongside experienced team members and gain hands-on experience maintaining equipment, repairing machinery, and helping keep a large industrial recycling facility running.If you are dependable, mechanically inclined, and not afraid to get your hands dirty, this is a great opportunity to learn a skilled trade from the ground up.Skills You’ll LearnNo experience in every area? That’s expected — we train.You’ll gain experience with:Welding and torch work (MIG, stick welding, cutting)Industrial painting, surface prep, and finish workSandblasting and coating preparationGeneral facility and equipment maintenancePreventive maintenance and repair work ordersBasic troubleshooting and repair estimationMaterial, parts, and shop inventory managementWhat a Great Day Looks LikeYou show up on time, check in with the maintenance team, and get after the day’s work orders.One day you might be repairing equipment with a torch or welder. Another day you could be prepping and painting containers, inspecting equipment, or helping complete preventative maintenance around the facility.Our maintenance team is small, so every person matters.
