Join us to build the future.Your ImpactAs a Welder-Trainee at Accelevation, you will learn to perform MIG welds and build steel assemblies, preparing you for a Production Welder role. This entry-level position is specifically designed for individuals with little to no prior welding experience who want to start a welding career. It serves as an alternative for individuals who want to become a welder without having to attend traditional welding school programs.Welder-Trainees complete a four-week, hands-on training course led by a dedicated Accelevation School of Welding instructor. Training begins with welding safety and machine setup, progressing to basic welds within the first week. In weeks two and three, you will practice welding on components, followed by a simulated assembly line experience in week four. Successful completion of the program will transition you into a Welder I position on one of the following shifts: first shift (Monday–Thursday), second shift (Monday–Thursday), or weekend shift (Friday–Sunday). While a Welder-Trainee in the School of Welding you will learn how to set up parts for welding, utilize hand tools, clamps, jigs, and fixtures to ensure precision and quality, interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols to execute work accurately.Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities During The 4-week ProgramShow up on time and ready to learn each dayParticipate in the training exercises with an open mind and willingness to learnPerform welding exercises as explained by the School of Welding InstructorBe open to coaching and feedback from the School of Welding InstructorConduct your learning and work in a safe manner each dayYour Likely Day-to-Day Responsibilities AFTER Successful Completion Of ProgramPrepares, assembles, and tacks weld parts and surfaces to be welded. Performs MIG welding on various components and substructure to create Accelevation steel components Gathers required tools and materials based on instructions and specifications provided for the job. Ensure parts are not overheated or damaged during the welding process to avoid warping, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage. Maintains, organizes, and cleans equipment and the work area. Regular lifting up to 25 lbs and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs is required. Vision requirements include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
