Radiation Therapist

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiation Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for administering radiation treatments to patients as prescribed by physicians, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, along with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities Administer radiation therapy treatments to patients in accordance with prescribed treatment plans. Prepare and maintain treatment equipment, ensuring it is functioning properly and safely. Conduct patient assessments to monitor their condition and response to treatment. Collaborate with oncologists, medical physicists, and other healthcare professionals to develop effective treatment plans. Educate patients about the radiation therapy process, potential side effects, and self-care during treatment. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to protect patients and staff from unnecessary exposure to radiation. Experience Proficient knowledge of medical terminology related to radiation therapy and oncology. Experience in mammography or medical imaging is a plus. Strong background in anatomy knowledge, physiology knowledge, critical care, and acute care settings. Familiarity with radiation therapy techniques and equipment, including CT imaging. Previous experience as a Radiation Therapist or in a related field is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level applicants.
