Our team gains hands-on experience with advanced robotics, system integration, and live production environments, while contributing to projects that directly impact production, efficiency, and operational performance.We are committed to developing our team as we grow by offering meaningful responsibility, exposure to complex challenges, and the opportunity to advance alongside the company.Our mission is to help drive the advancement of manufacturing through the successful adoption and scaling of automation.Position OverviewReporting to the President of MAG, the Automation Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end execution of Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) and Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) deployments within manufacturing and automotive environments.This role will lead cross-functional teams consisting of internal MAG teams, external vendors and OEM partners to successfully design, deploy, and launch automation solutions inside active production facilities. Key ResponsibilitiesOwn full project lifecycle from concept through commissioning, launch, and closeoutDeliver projects on schedule, within budget, and aligned to customer expectationsLead cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, and technologyServe as the primary point of contact for customers, vendors, and internal stakeholdersFinancial & AdministrativeTrack project financials including cost, revenue, and invoicing milestonesCoordinate with management for billing, change orders, and financial reportingMaintain accurate project documentation and reporting for customer and MAG leadership visibilityTeam Leadership & CultureLead and develop cross-functional project teams across engineering, operations, and technologyFoster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performanceProactively build team camaraderie and cohesion, especially during high-pressure launch and production support phasesPromote clear communication, mutual respect, and alignment across all team members and stakeholdersSupport team members through challenges, ensuring morale remains strong during demanding project phasesProject Execution & PlanningDefine project scope, milestones, and deliverables with customers and internal teamsDevelop and maintain detailed project schedules, priorities, and critical path itemsIdentify risks early and drive mitigation strategies in fast-paced production environmentsEstablish and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cash flow trackingTechnical & Integration OversightEnsure alignment between mechanical, electrical, controls, and software systemsOversee AMR/AGV deployment including:Fleet management system (FMS) integrationMapping, routing, and pick/drop flowsFacility and material flow validationValidate that system designs meet customer standards and safety requirementsCustomer & Stakeholder ManagementLead regular project review meetings and provide clear status updatesCoordinate closely with plant operations, manufacturing engineering, and IT teamsEnsure strong communication between customer, project team, and leadershipManage scope changes, RFQs, and customer requestsExecution & Launch SupportOversee installation, commissioning, and production ramp-upSupport troubleshooting and issue resolution during launch phasesManage punch lists, system validation, and performance acceptance criteriaEnsure smooth project closeout, documentation, and handoff to support teamsQualificationsRequired QualificationsAt least 2-3 years of experience in automation project management, preferably in:AMR/AGV or robotics deploymentsAutomotive manufacturingWarehouse/distribution automationProven experience leading large-scale automation implementations in active production environmentsExemplary documentation, presentation, communication, and organizational skillsStrong understanding of:Material flow and intralogistics systemsIndustrial controls and system integrationRobotics or mobile automation platformsPreferred QualificationsExperience with AMR/AGV platforms and vendorsFamiliarity with Fleet Management Systems and vendorsExperience working with automotive environments Engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field)Experience with project scheduling tools (MS Project, or similar)Required SkillsStrong leadership and coordination across cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, vendors, and customers)Financial literacy with the ability to manage project budgets, forecasts, cash flow, and cost controlHighly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneouslyExemplary documentation, presentation, and communication skills across all levels of the organizationStrong attention to detail with disciplined project tracking, reporting, and follow-throughServant leadership mindset with a hands-on approach to supporting team success and project executionAbility to build relationships and work effectively with diverse personalities across plant and corporate environmentsStrong conflict management and problem-resolution skills, with the ability to drive alignment in high-pressure situationsHigh level of ownership and accountability.
