Job Quick Facts: Specialty: Interventional GastroenterologyJob Type: Locum TenensFacility Location: Oklahoma City, OKService Setting: InpatientReason For Coverage: SupplementalCoverage Period: ASAP - OngoingCoverage Type: Clinical + CallShift Schedule: 1-2 weeks per month; 8a-8pCall Schedule: Nights; 8p-8aCall Type: BeeperCall Response Time: 15 minsCallback Volume: 1-3 times overnight per weekPhone Consults: 0-10Patient Volume: 15-20 + 5 proceduresRounding Included: YesSupport Staff: 1 NP/PARequired Procedures: - Upper GI Endoscopy: w/ biopsy, w/ foreign body removal, w/ fulguration of bleeder (cautery vs. laser) & w/ injection of varices - ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography): Diagnostic & Therapeutic - With PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy) - Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), Liver biopsy - Insertion/mgmt of Sengstaken/Blakemore tubeBeds in the Dept: 99+EMR: EpicOther Info: - Case Logs: current competence & evidence of performance of at least 200 therapeutic ERCP procedures, 40 sphincterotomies & 10 stent placements in the past 12 months or completion of training in the past 12 months.Temporary Privileges available: YesTravel, lodging, and malpractice insurance covered Requirements: Active OK License or IMLCBC/BECompletion of an ACGME or AOA accredited fellowship in GI w/ training in ERCPACLSCase Logs (must include ProVation or a GI system; distinct & separate patient case logs for both ECU & ERCP, specifically for the past 12 months)
