We also offer voluntary benefits: vision, long-term disability, and life insurance.Position Details:This position will be in-officeThe hiring range for this role is typically between $119,000 and $137,000 annually, with the full range extending to $155,000 annually, based on experience, internal equity, and career progressionThis is a contract position with an expected duration of 6 months Primary Function:The Software Engineer III is responsible for designing, developing and integrating moderately complex software solutions to assist clients, working independently and interfacing directly with customers.Essential Job Functions - Responsibilities:Design and implement moderately complex software systems to interact with various hardwareCreate sophisticated desktop/embedded/web applications for prototyping, test and automationWork alongside other engineers to elevate technology and consistently apply best practicesCoordinate with project managers and various disciplines to ensure projects meet requirementsProvide accurate engineering time estimates for client proposalsWork directly with clients to capture system requirements and design solutionsAnalyze, diagnose, and debug complex existing codeWork with SQA to ensure solutions are fully tested and meet requirements prior to deliveryManage time effectively across multiple competing prioritiesOwn several software subsystems, modules, and/or processes and define requirementsInterface directly with customers without oversightAnticipate client needs and collaborate with business developmentAdhere to Business Technology policies to protect sensitive data and reduce information security occurrences.Education and Experience: (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities)Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other Engineering FieldMinimum of 5 years work experience as a degreed engineerCapable of delivering on multiple competing priorities with little supervision requiredDemonstrated programming capability in C# (C, C++ and Python a plus) requiredDemonstrated experience working in Windows OS and with Windows Development ToolchainExperience with variety of systems including vision, audio and sensors highly desirableDemonstrated experience developing desktop applications (web, embedded and mobile highly desirable)Wired and Wireless communication protocols such as USB, Ethernet, BLE, Wi-Fi highly desirableCapable of building APIs and services using REST, SOAP, etc. highly desirableStrong written and verbal English language communication skillsExcellent teamwork/interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectivelyDemonstrate commitment and adherence to Sigma Design Core ValuesPass a post-offer background verificationWork Environment:Standard office environment with normal amounts of office related conditions.
