Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Programmer

CNC PROGRAMMER (Permanent)Our client, a global manufacturing organization with headquarters in WNY, is looking to add a CNC Programmer to their team. This is a great opportunity for a programmer who also enjoys working on the shop floor, as well as behind a computer. This is the sole CNC Programmer joining a machining department of 10. The position is open due to a promotion and has opportunity for growth as well.Responsibilities:Utilize G-Code, Mazatrol, and various conversational programming methods to develop & modify CNC programs for CNC lathes, multi-axis machining centers and millsDevelop setup documents, complete tooling packages, and programming instructions to support efficient and repeatable production processesCreate and implement simple fixtures, manufacturing aids, and workholding solutions to increase efficiency, consistency, and manufacturabilityCollaborate with machinists when troubleshooting, during program prove-out, and while completing continuous improvement initiativesAnalyze troubleshoot, and resolve machining issues as they arise in order to optimize cycle timesUtilize established manufacturing work papers while performing detailed/accurate programming to validate production routing and machining methodsPartner with Manufacturing Engineering team members to create new/updated manufacturing processes and proper implementationUtilize precision inspection techniques and quality measurement practices to verify machining accuracyMaintain detailed, up-to-date technical & manufacturing documentationParticipate in fostering a culture of teamwork, integrity, continuous improvement, and customer-focused manufacturing performanceWork well both independently and in a team environmentOther duties as assigned/as necessaryDetails:Position is full-time, direct hire100% in-office$65,000 - $95,000 annually depending on experienceExcellent benefits packageTrade school or formal machining training preferred*Must be eligible to access export-controlled information in accordance with US export control regulations*2+ years’ experience CNC programming experience5+ years of CNC machining & programming experienceProficient programming utilizing G-code and MazatrolExperience programming CNC lathes, mills, and/or multi-axis machining centersExcellent communication skillsStrong organization skills and time management skillsStrong attention to detailSelf-motivatedRelocation not availableCandidates must be authorized to work in the United States; Visa sponsorship is not availableAll employees and applicants, please know that you have access at all times to New York State and Federal Labor Laws and Posters at the Government Agency websites: https://dol.ny.gov/posting-requirements-0; https://www.dol.gov/general/topics/posters#workplace-posters
