BCforward will send official notice ahead of a confirmed start date.Expected Duration: 12 Month Potential Extension/Conversion: Yes, potential extension or conversion to FTEJob Type: [FULL TIME (>=40 HRS WEEKLY)Pay Range: $50 /hr on w2Job SummaryThe Quality Engineer (Specialist) works under general supervision and plays a key role in ensuring product and process quality within aerospace/manufacturing environments. This individual may own projects or processes, provide guidance to team members, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.You will act as a bridge between internal teams and customer counterparts, ensuring that hardware meets all required specifications and quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as a quality liaison between engineering teams, manufacturing, and customers to ensure product compliance.Review and communicate non-conformances and deviations across multiple organizational levels.Interpret and apply engineering drawings, specifications, and customer quality requirements.Support and drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.Evaluate in-process defects, implement containment actions, and lead corrective actions.Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) activities and non-conformance disposition.Collaborate with Manufacturing and Project Engineering to develop inspection/test plans and reports.Ensure compliance with aerospace processes such as machining, welding, and non-destructive testing (NDT).Make process/system improvements with moderate impact on operational performance.Required Skills & QualificationsStrong understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS) such as ISO 9001 / AS9100Experience with RCCA tools:FMEA (Failure Modes & Effects Analysis)5-Why AnalysisPareto Analysis8D Problem SolvingFishbone (Ishikawa)Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specificationsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsStrong ownership mindset and problem-solving abilityExperience in aerospace or manufacturing environmentsPreferred QualificationsExposure to product development in cross-functional teamsExperience working directly with customers or suppliersFamiliarity with inspection/testing processes and documentationEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s Degree + 4+ years of relevant experienceORMaster’s Degree + 2+ years of relevant experienceBenefits:We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance to support employees' health and well-being.
